As I have mentioned in the past, I have created a randomizer for my phone that allows me to get a prompt for themed entertainment design projects. the aRTED (a Random Themed Entertainment Design) projects are an interesting way to quickly problem solve create some (fairly) quick items. For this project my prompt was for a 1940’s Antarctica Adventure Queue. For the design I went with an ice cave with a glowing crystal. For the lights and railings, I wanted them to have a more rough manufactured aspect. I sketch some initial ideas into Procreate, created my CAD pathway for scale in Rhino, and modeled the queue in Blender. I like to call the last image the retina-burner.
